Lyon, France ushered in 2013 with a bang, thanks to "The Magic Cube." With a little help from sound and motion graphics company Pixelux Studios, the city sponspored an interactive installation that runs on the power of 28 bicyclists. That's right, 28 dudes on bicycles completely powered a complex integrated system of video, sound, and light.
The famous King Louis XIV statue got a fresh new look thanks to new age technology and design provided by Pixelux. Perhaps the sweetest part of it all is the piece's lack of impact on the environment. Cheers to an example of environmental art without impact.
