The Art Everywhere project is a crowd-funded initiative in the UK to bring fine art to the public by replacing 20,000 billboards and advertisements with images of art that has been chosen by the people. The public was asked to vote for their favorite pieces online and the top 57 would be used for the project. Voted ended on June 30 with over 30,000 likes and the final list of artworks was revealed on August 8 at London's Westfield.

The top five paintings chosen were John William Waterhouse's The Lady of Shallot (1888), Sir John Everett Millais's Ophelia (1851-52), Francis Bacon's Head VI (1949), John Singer Sargent's Gassed (1919), and Lucian Freud's Man's Head (Self Portrait 1) (1963). The complete list and a gallery of the works is available on the Art Everywhere website. The works will be displayed across the UK for two weeks beginning August 12 and ending August 26.
