Argentinian artist Magdalena Marcenaro (aka Magda Love) has been working hard to create beautiful murals on Brooklyn’s Pacific Street. Her work is colorful and surreal, incorporating pictures as well as illustrations. She has shown her work in several major cities. She's also held a solo exhibition at Gowanus Print Lab here in Brooklyn and group shows at the Scope Foundation, BOOM, The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, and The Urban Folk Art Gallery.

Street Art NYC recently interviewed her to get an inside look into her creative mind. She talked about the difference between art appreciation in Argentina in comparison to America:

None

She also talked about how she develops works, explaining that her ideas flow organically: "I don’t prepare a sketch – but I do have some images with me to give me a basic idea of where I’m going. But once I begin, my work takes on a life of its own."

Today from 7pm-8:30 people in New York can meet Magda and see her new work by visiting Brooklyn’s NU Hotel. She is celebrating the unveiling of her art commissioned by the Pacific Street Association. R.S.V.P. to Events@independentcollection.com.
