For some reason, Freddie Krueger and Jason are a lot less menacing when they've got stubby hands and are covered in fur. I also doubt that a cuddly Batman could do much to stop crime, but it can't be denied that there's a certain allure to these nostalgically-adorable renditions of characters from comics and film.
