We made it, guys. The NFL is back and it's hard not to appreciate having football back in our lives after it looked like it might not happen because of the COVID-19 pandemic. And who knows what will happen this season, but as of now, they're playing and we're ready for it. Of course, the season will look different than most. A good amount of teams won't have fans to start the season and with a shortened offseason, the football could look a little ugly to start the season.
We've already ranked every QB in the NFL and gave you our full season predictions for every single team, as well as playoff predictions. And now just like last year, we're bringing you guys weekly predictions for every single NFL game. These are straight up picks and not ATS. For all our NFL bets of the week, tune into the Complex Sports 'Load Management' podcast, where we break down every game by the spread. Angel continues to hold a lead in the standings, but things are tightening up as we go along. Let's have some fun.
Overall Records:
Chopz - 49-27
Adam - 48-28
Angel - 52-24
Zion - 48-28
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
Chopz: Covid couldn’t stop the Titans and the Texans won’t be able to either. Tennessee rolls.
Adam: Titans, but strongly advise taking the points with the Texans if you’re a gambling man.
Zion: Did y’all see what Derrick Henry did to Josh Norman? Just off that, I’m picking the Titans.
Angel: Covid infestation or not, the Titans are rolling. Tennessee at home.
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
Chopz: I’ve picked the Browns basically every week that we’ve done this and I’m not going to stop now. This one is for Myles Garrett. Mason Rudolph better hope he doesn't have to come into the game.
Adam: If you know, you know. Steelers.
Zion: We need a Steelers blowout. Pittsburgh wins
Angel: The Steelers have some payback coming to them. Give me the Browns.
Baltimore Ravens at Philadelphia Eagles
Chopz: Ravens win on the road.
Adam: Lamar Jackson usually takes care of business against bad teams. Are the Eagles a bad team? Debatable. But they ain’t a good one. Ravens.
Zion: Ravens win even though Philly fans will be in attendance. They’ll be spending most of their time booing Wentz
Angel: Ravens win in a competitive one.
The Washington Football Team at New York Giants
Chopz: What a battle this one will be. Give me the Giants.
Adam: Giants have won the past three matchups. Make it four in a row.
Zion: THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS WIN.
Angel: Man, is this the Loser Bowl? The Giants are gonna win maybe two or three games this year and I think this is gonna be one of them.
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings
Chopz: The Falcons finally fired Dan Quinn, but I don’t think they’re going to win this week. I’ll take the Vikings.
Adam: Mike Zimmer has a pretty good record, especially against the spread, as a home team versus non-divisional opponents. Roll with the Vikings.
Zion: Vikings.
Angel: The Vikings win at home in a close one.
Detroit Lions at Jacksonville Jaguars
Chopz: Stafford and the Lions win on the road.
Adam: If you’re hyped for this game, you’re a lunatic. Lions.
Zion: Lions win off their bye week.
Angel: The Lions on the road. Let’s see if they can finally hold a lead.
Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts
Chopz: Colts are a good team and they win this one.
Adam: My man Philip Rivers is looking like a scarecrow under center. Colts, but Bengals keep it closer than the experts think.
Zion: Colts.
Angel: Colts, but only because they’re at home.
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers
Chopz: I’ll take the Panthers. They’re 3-0 without CMC, which is quite interesting.
Adam: Carolina for no other reason than it feels like the Panthers are in a groove right now.
Zion: Panthers are hot, Carolina.
Angel: Bears on the road. Hard to bet against Big D*ck Nick.
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
Chopz: Dolphins by 89.
Adam: Le’Veon Bell was the worst free agent signing in Jets history. And that’s saying something. Dolphins with ease.
Zion: Dolphins.
Angel: Fins.
Denver Broncos at New England Patriots
Chopz: With Cam back in the lineup this one is easy. Pats roll.
Adam: Regardless if Cam’s playing or not, still going to trust Bill Belichick to gameplan against Drew Lock (or whatever second-rate quarterback the Broncos march onto the field).
Zion: Pats. Never doubt Bill.
Angel: New England had some extra time to prep for this one, so give me the Pats.
Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chopz: This should be a great game. I’ll take the Packers coming off the bye week.
Adam: Taking the Packers straight up until further notice.
Zion: Aaron Rodgers is taking this personal. Pack
Angel: Green Bay on the road which will hopefully lead Tom Brady to throw another tantrum.
Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
Chopz: Rams win this because the 49ers look broken.
Adam: Visitors have been pretty successful at Levi’s Stadium since Kyle Shannahan took over a few seasons ago. Rams over the injury-riddled 49ers.
Zion: Rams.
Angel: Jimmy G is starting. Give me the Niners!
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills
Chopz: Chiefs received a wake up call last week against the Raiders. They win this one to remind everyone just how good they are.
Adam: A lot of support coming in on the Chiefs, which makes me leery. But Mahomes and Co. gotta be due for a bounce back.
Zion: Chiefs.
Angel: Wow, this is gonna be a game. The Chiefs win on the road, but Josh Allen once again proves that he’s for real.
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys
Chopz: I still can’t believe the Dak injury. That sucks so much. I’ll actually still take Dallas here though. Andy Dalton is good enough.
Adam: I’ll be extremely disappointed if the Cardinals do not embarrass the Cowboys.
Zion: DeAndre Hopkins might have 200 receiving yards. Cardinals
Angel: Chandler Jones is a big loss for Arizona as is Dak for the Cowboys. This game is a toss up, so I’m going to go with the Cardinals.
