NBA.com has shared its annual GM survey, in which it polls general managers around the league on burning questions surrounding players, coaches, teams, and offseason moves.
Chief among the 48 questions asked, the NBA’s general managers decided the Brooklyn Nets are the most likely team to win the next NBA championship, followed by LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers. That might explain why Kevin Durant edged out LeBron for league MVP, which would mark his second time winning the award.
Elsewhere, Kyle Lowry was chosen as the player that moved teams who will make the biggest impact, after he was traded to the Miami Heat from the Toronto Raptors during the offseason. Meanwhile the Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic was voted the best player to build a team around, while Giannis Antetokounmpo edged Doncic out for best international player.
As part of the poll. General managers weren’t allowed to vote for their own teams, and the percentages are the total result of those who responded to the question.
