Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple chose violence Sunday night when he pushed send on aΒ tweet attacking the respective fan base of his former teams, the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants.Β
βIdk which fan base I hate more,β Apple wrote. βProlly the saints but Itβs close wit the giants itβs a toss up.βΒ As you would expect, hisΒ tweet didnβt sit well with Giants and Saints fans, who fired back at him with their own insults. One person took it a step further by recordingΒ a diss track directed at the six-year pro over Kodak Blackβs βSuper Gremlin.βΒ
To his credit, Apple hasnβt only weathered the storm, heβs gotten off a few good responses, commenting on the Giantsβ five-yearΒ playoffΒ drought, and the uncertainty surrounding the future of head coach Sean Payton, who has roamed the Saintsβ sideline since 2006.Β
Hereβs whatΒ Saints and Giants fans, as well as casual observers,Β had to say in response to Appleβs tweets.Β
