Nick Young Celebrates NBA Championship Win: 'I Went From Getting Snitched on to About to Put a Ring on'

Nick Young still remembers when D'Angelo Russell recorded a video of him admitting to cheating on his then-fiancée, Iggy Azalea. But now that he's about to be wearing the 2018 championship ring, Young boasts about how he's come a "long way" from those days.

UPDATED 3:02 p.m. ET:

Iggy Azalea is still clapping back at Instagrammers about Nick Young's comments. "i want him to stop referencing the shit he did as if it's funny or even cool just because it's old now," read the "Fancy" rapper's comment. "I've moved on but it's never gonna be a cute joke to make, Congrats on the win tho."

Azalea also had words for one Instagrammer who said Azalea should be more than a one-hit-wonder.

"well thanks, not to be cocky but if you look at the stats...I have more than "1 hit" although yes, things have been rough the last few years on the charts," she said, before announcing that her next EP will arrive on July 6.

UPDATED 1:03 p.m. ET:

It seems Iggy Azalea wants Nick Young to keep their dirty laundry out of his mouth. The Australian rapper went to Instagram to criticize the NBA baller for bringing up his cheating scandal.

"so much better when you don't just take your team win & don't include any celebratory references to you sticking your raw dick in countless chicks while you engaged...at least...I think it is," she wrote in the comments section of a video of an interview with Young. Another Instagrammer said Azalea should let Young "enjoy" the win but Azalea wasn't having it. "enjoy it without referencing your dirty dick. Not hard," she responded.

It's been two years since D'Angelo Russell recorded his Los Angeles Lakers' teammate Nick Young admitting to cheating on his then-fiancée, Iggy Azalea. The video eventually surfaced, leading to the breakup of Young and Azalea. Well, that and the fact the mother of Young's firstborn claimed she was pregnant with another child of his. Needless to say, Young and the rest of the Lakers felt betrayed by Russell.

Now, Russell is balling with the Brooklyn Nets, and Young is celebrating a championship win with the Golden State Warriors after the team swept the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 NBA Finals. So naturally, Swaggy P is feeling himself a bit.

"I been a long way, haven't I? I went from getting snitched on to about to put a ring on," Young said in an interview after their win, clearing shading his former teammate. Although Young was engaged to Azalea in 2016, he's likely talking about the championship ring he's about to get, not the engagement kind.

Before Young left for the Warriors, he told the Los Angeles Daily News he was ready to forgive his then-teammate.

"We’re teammates," Young said at the time. "It’s been so long, so it’s kind of old. We’ll be able to work it out. We’ve already been working it out. It is what it is. I can’t be mad forever."

With the latest shade, we're guessing he didn't get to the forgiveness part yet.
