Back in 2006 a man by the name of Mistah F.A.B. released a song called "Ghost Ride It" into the airwaves. With the theme song of Ghostbusters sampled in the background, the track was an ode to the act of blasting music from your car and dancing outside the car, while it's still moving. Naturally, people have been imitating the video ever since. Inspired white kids everywhere thought it'd be awesome to film their attempts, most often failing in the process. The dumping grounds for these videos? YouTube. Check out the comedy gold we found in the archives with these 10 Hilarious Ghost Ride the Whip Videos.
Gangsta G-Parents
1. Grandparents driving a Scion
2. Grandparents listening to a dude named Mistah Fab
3. Grandparents gettin' their grove on in the middle of the street.
In the tone of Ricky Bobby, if you don't like this video, then fuck you.
Avoid Tricky Vehicles
Judging by how this kid acts, he's probably been cranking the throttle a little too much lately, if you catch our drift.
Shattered
It's obvious that people ghost riding and standing on top of their cars don't give a shit about their vehicles, but we don't think this is what they had in mind.
Marine Madness
Somehow, we imagine this was not part of their higher orders.
Lawn Life
The ultimate ghost riding: driving another whip around your whip! And having that whip actually be a tractor. But you're still whipping it around in circles, so we can still call it a whip.
4. Rhett and Link
Rhett and Link are pretty Internet famous, so it's not surprising this has gotten a lot of attention. The comedy is there, though, as the two dance next to tractors, horses, and power wheels. What you know about that electric shopping cart life?
Delorean Dance Off
That dude's dancing like that on a prosthetic leg! Add the coolness factor of the raised Delorean wings, and you get an automatic winner.
Heads Up
If you've never ghost ridden a whip, here are a couple tips:
1. Don't do it when there are a bunch of other cars around.
2. Always look ahead.
3. Keep your speed to a minimum.
Lessons in ghost whip riding provided by this idiot who nearly cracks his head on the street.
Trucked
You'd think this dude would get in the truck and stop once it started banging against the curb, but no. He had to stick to his plan. What's that get him? Some bumps, some bruises, and a big, crashed heap of metal.
Save the A's
The Oakland A's were in trouble of being moved to Fremont. The only way to protest and prevent this from happening was letting a car idle, putting on ridiculous outfits, dancing outside said car while it's moving, and standing on top of said car while it's moving. Hey, the A's are still in Oakland, aren't they?
