There are car accessories, like a nice set of rims, that can largely improve the look and quality of your vehicle. Then there are the car accessories that people buy at Autozone, Walmart, and that weird, probably illegal, custom shop around the corner that just make your car look extremely cheap and idiotic. You seriously do not want to be the tool rocking any of these things, regardless of what you thought they looked like when you bought them. Just take it off, put it in a box, and put that box on the side of the road on trash day. These are 10 Car Accessories That Make Your Car Look Stupid.

Seat Covers

We understand that you might want to show your team spirit with a logo cover or get funky with a ridiculous shaggy seat, but it's not worth looking like you're trying to sloppily cover something up. Seat covers never fit, always look disheveled, and make us think there's something really nasty underneath that would probably induce losing our lunch if we saw it. We don't care if you're a girl, either. Neither Tinkerbell nor Hello Kitty will do your car any favors.

Car Headlight Lashes

Stop it ladies, just stop it. If we were ever about to go home with a girl and walked out of the club to find these things staring at us, we'd probably publicly chastise her, rip them off the car, and walk away shaking our heads. Okay, so maybe we'd do that in the morning after going home with her, but you know what we mean. We don't like it when you wear them on your face, so why would we like them on your car?

Stick-On Carbon Fiber

Oh, so you fancy, huh? These people have been looking at the plethora of custom cars that we show off on this site, noticed the excessive amounts of carbon fiber, saw these stick-ons while perusing the auto section at Walmart, and thought they could make their Cavalier look sportier. Sorry, dudes, your Cavalier isn't going to get cooler, just dumber. Aside from the fact that stick-ons always bubble and never go on smoothly, the entire concept of sticky stuff on our car just disgusts us.

Fake Hood Scoops

If you're car is meant to be a muscle machine, then it's likely you already have a real hood scoop or the day will come when you purchase a ful hood with a real scoop. Fake scoops, which are blatantly obvious, might be one of the saddest attempts ever at making your car look cool. Please, don't spend money to ruin your paint.

Car Bras

We see it all the time. Somebody has a great-looking car like the above Chevy Camaro and completely ruins the whole thing with a car bra. Why, people, why? As far as aesthetics go, it's like neutering the car, stripping it of any masculinity whatsoever. It's simple: If you know you're going to be driving a lot on the highway, then don't use that car. Besides, bras lock in moisture and often scratch the paint anyways.

Bolt-on Exhaust Tips

What's the one thing worse than a massive obnoxiously loud aftermarket muffler? Bolt-on exhaust tips. They're clunky, they always sit at a weird angle, and they simply never look real. We'll easily know you're trying to hard.

"Designer" Interior Add-ons

See that Ed Hardy masterpiece above? That's a "Love Kills Slowly" vent pocket. Yes, we said vent pocket. Put the fucking Ed Hardy down, sit in the corner, and take a deep look at what would cause you to ever consider buying that.

Fake Fender Vents

There are few cars that actually have functional side vents, so when we see them on an everyday car like a Pontiac Grand Am or an older Ford Mustang, we instantly know they're fake. Guess what? Fake means cheap, and you don't want to look cheap.

Clip-On Spinners

Notice the trend that things with "-on" aren't so good? Clip-on spinners have been the worst offenders for years. You know, the ones sitting between the Betty Boop air freshener and the Iron Man steering wheel cover? These aren't even funny as a joke anymore.

Vanity Shift Knobs

We know you like to sometimes pretend that you're in The Fast and the Furious, but the truth is that dropping your car in and out of neutral drive doesn't count as shifting. Even if you do actually drive manual, putting an 8 ball or a revolver on your stick just makes you look 13 years old.
