This is what happens when a driver misses one of those jumps from the X-games rallycross races and it's made from steel I-beams instead of packed dirt: The driver destroys his car, sets it on fire, breaks his ankle, and spends race day in the hospital complaining of abdominal pain. We might just be writers, not engineers, but we think this could have definitely be engineered more carefully.
