The Cadillac ATS hasn't just been stealing customers from BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, and the like, it's been stealing customers from the Cadillac CTS as well. It seems Americans are finally downsizing their cars, and are happy to buy a smaller car if it is faster, better handling, more efficient, and cheaper.
GM says that the company anticipated this, and has now slowed the rate of CTS production to cope.
