After receiving today's announcement that Kobe Bryant will miss approximately another month, fans were extremely disappointed. Tonight the Lakers made an official announcement saying that Kobe will be re-evaluated in three weeks after still dealing with pain and swelling in his leg:
After three weeks, the Lakers will have played 7-8 more games giving them a total of 52-53 games played this season. That brings in the question of whether the Lakers should just sit Kobe out for the rest of the season. At 16-29 this season, the Lakers aren't even remotely close to competing for a playoff berth. It seems like tanking would be ideal for the franchise, but with Kobe's determination to get back on the court this will obviously still be up in the air.
