Philadelphia Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon entered Sunday's game against the Marlins with a 4-1 lead in the ninth inning. After giving up four earned runs, however, he walked off the mound to a chorus of boos and an impending loss.
Papelbon was booed mercilessly, and capped off his meltdown by directing an apparent lewd gesture towards the crowd. Unfortunately for Papelbon, umpire Joe West noticed his flagrant nut grab and ejected Papelbon from the game. All in a day's work.
