Eugenie Bouchard could be spending less time in the professional tennis world as she announced she signed on to join the Carvana PPA pickleball tour in 2024.

Bouchard and the circuit collaborated on an Instagram post to announce the news.

"With one of the biggest signings of the year, Genie Bouchard, professional tennis star with a WTA #5 career high in singles, joins the PPA Tour in 2024!" the official PPA account wrote.

At the time of writing, it's still unclear as to whether Bouchard will return to tennis eventually or if this pivot marks the end of her tennis career.

Bouchard is currently ranked 215th in the WTA world rankings.

The 29-year-old athlete famously appeared in the finals at Wimbledon in 2014, as well as making the semifinals of the Australian and French Opens. She ranked as high as fifth in the world during that span.
