Here's How a Bartender Faked His Way Into a Ringside Seat for Mayweather/McGregor

At this point, we should be finished with all of the Mayweather/McGregor talk. But with a spectacle as big as this boxing match, there are still hundreds of stories about it that are being unearthed almost 48 hours after the fight. And one of the latest stories involves a pretty insane scam that earned a random British bartender a ringside seat for the fight.

Something like 2.9 million people illegally streamed the fight on Saturday night. But the British bartender was like, "Fuck that, I'm going to see it live," and he came up with a smart way to do it. The man, identified as Oliver Regis, paid $2,500 for a seat to the fight before realizing that all $2,500 got him was a crappy view at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. So according to The Sun, Regis devised a genius plan: Why not just act like he was a part of Mayweather's security detail and get a seat ringside? Which is exactly what he did.

"I did feel a bit cheeky," Regis told The Sun later, "but this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance. I could not believe it worked."

Surprisingly, he said "there were quite a few empty seats" ringside (which coincides with talk of the fight failing to sell out), so he "sat down in the third row and Mike Tyson then sat down behind me. LeBron James was on my row and I could see Leonardo DiCaprio."

Regis even managed to snag pictures with a number of stars, including Tyson, Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, and Jamie Foxx. He posted a collage of them on Instagram to prove what he had done.
