NBA style is actually a thing, which is nuts to think about if you're stuck in 2004. For the rest of us, living with and reacting to what 20-something year old millionaires wear to work (but don't work in) is a daily part of online life. Unlike your consignment store and Zara discount bin existence, these guys have virtually unlimited budgets to pursue every stylish whim, and even hire "professionals" to style them. And if you choose to think like Darren Rovell, an athlete's "look" is now an essential part of their "brand."
Unfortunately, some podium-worthy NBA players look terrible when leaving the arena. Feel better about your own wardrobe in the Biggest Post-Game Press Conference Style Fails in Recent Memory.

What they really look like: A Jehovah's Witness chapter leader who dipped into company funds for a high-end fashion spree after seeing A$AP Rocky for the first time on tumblr.
Black sneakers, high black socks, white shants, white shirt, white blazer. Let that soak in.
Fedora Days
Date: 5/11/2013
Game: Knicks @ Pacers, Game 3 Eastern Conference Semifinals
What they really look like: The recently divorced dad in 2B who's "trying new things."
Fedoras are objectively the worst type of hat ever. Only A-Trak can get away with it because he's this transparent entertainer in a genre with weirdos anyway. Not even Justin Timberlake can look cool in a fedora. Is Carmelo Anthony a world famous DJ who produces for Cam'Ron? Nah? It's settled then.
Paul George Loves Key Limes

What they really look like: A middle school art teacher after a normal day of work.
This shirt represents Westbrook's playing style. It's vibrant and loud, but disjointed, abstract, and shouldn't be possible.

Only break that jacket out on Halloween and role playing night, Baron.
Welcome to the Gun Show

Basically, Russell Westbrook took all the worst elements of hip-hop fashion and compacted them into one shit-show of an outfit.

Game: Pacers @ Heat, Game 2 Eastern Conference Finals
What they really look like: A painting inside of a dumpster on 14th and B.
Virgil Abloh wishes he could design a shirt this bad. George Hill is clearly ahead of the game.
Tim Duncan's Uniform
Date: 5/19/2012
Game: Spurs @ Clippers, Game 3 Western Conference Semifinals
What they really look like: Every other adult American male who lives outside of an urban area.
Tim Duncan should be a Sears catalog model.
D-Wade's Oval Neck Jawn
Date: 5/6/2013
Game: Bulls @ Heat, Game 1 Eastern Conference Semifinals
What they really look like: An American Apparel shift manager.
Quick story: During my first week of college in 2011, I went up to a friend's place in Spanish Harlem and got hammered. I ended up ripping my plain white t-shirt in the collar area while reciting Lil Wayne's PSA. I named the garment's new cut the "oval neck" shirt. Now, it's known as the "deep scoop neck." It's an awful shirt that exposes male cleavage, for some reason. #influencer

What they really look like: An overly attentive T.A. for some European Art History course.
This might be the least flamboyant of Russell's style fails, but no good can come from a jacket like that.
Dwyane Wade AKA "FOUR EYES"
Date: 6/19/2012
Game: Thunder @ Heat, Game 4 Finals
What they really look like: Future Million Dollar Listing: New York real estate agent.
Everything about this look is dope, except for the glasses, man. Like, that suit is a crazy grey/black tone with unique texturing and matching pocket square. D-Wade is clean. But those glasses are too close to what Larry David rocks with.
Amar'e Stoudemire Doesn't Play, Has Podium Time Anyway
Date: 6/5/2012
Game: Celtics @ Heat, Game 5 Eastern Conference Finals
What they really look like: A former member of the Hell's Angels who was kicked out for covering John Mayer songs at the club talent show.
Well this was weird. After Stoudemire punched a fire extinguisher during the Heat series (hence the sling) to propel the Knicks to elimination, he hit up South Beach in the next round to check out the Conference Finals.
