Under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden, Mike Krzyzewski helped lead the Duke Blue Devils to a 77-68 victory and become the first NCAA Division I men's basketball head coach to win 1,000 games. It was a hard-fought win which showed everyone why Krzyzewski is in a league of his own.

Following a Sir'Dominic Pointer basket, extending St. John's lead to 61-51 with 8:36 remaining, Krzyzewski called a timeout to regroup. From that point on, the No. 5 Blue Devils outscored their opponent, 26-7, including a 18-2 run towards the end of the game. "I was just trying to survive this game, which is how you get to 1,000," Coach K told ESPN. "It makes us 17-2 and we've got to go to Notre Dame on Wednesday, but for this moment, for basketball, for the game and for this program, we'll enjoy this one right now."

The milestone win hasn't even really settled in and Krzyzewski is already talking about getting 1,001. Congratulations, Coach K!
