At least Markelle Fultz can take a joke. During his biggest game as a member of the Dallas Cowboys, Amari Cooper scored two touchdowns on eight catches for 180 yards. One of his trips to the end zone included Cooper rounding up his Cowboys teammates as he stepped in front of the uprights to mock Fultz’s unorthodox free throw routine.
Cooper was mimicking the free throw routine where Fultz batted the ball from left to right before releasing it from his shooting hand.
It looks like Fultz wasn’t offended or bothered by Cooper’s joke. Instead, he responded to the celebration on social media with a fist pump and a "Good shot boy."
Earlier this week, Fultz spoke about his new routine, claiming that he's using "trial and error" before getting something that he felt comfortable with. "It's something I added right now. Just trial and error," he said, per ESPN's Ian Begley. "It's been working nice for me so I'm going to stick with it for now." Unfortunately, Fultz's reoccurring shoulder issues flared up again, forcing him to see a specialist to be evaluated before participating in another practice or game.
