On Sunday, NFL Insider's Adam Caplan and ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Frank Gore "told people he will sign with the Eagles this week"? Yeeeaaaaahh...about that. It may not happen.
According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the 31-year-old is reconsidering his deal with Philadelphia and looking at other options. Yesterday, Schefter and Caplan informed us of what Gore was telling his friends, meaning there was probably no verbal or handshake agreement in place at the time.
Since Gore cannot sign a new contract until the NFL free agency period begins on Tuesday at 4 p.m., he is still considering the possibility of re-signing with the San Francisco 49ers. However, there may be a dark horse in this race and it is the Indianapolis Colts.
