Not letting your friend drive drunk wont only save their ass; it might save yours too. Two Connecticutteenagers were arrested for letting their friend Jane Modelsky drive drunk. On July 14, she crashed a 2008 Honda Pilot into a tree and died. Police say the two teens knew she was drunk and let her drive anyway. One is being charged with reckless endangerment, violation of passenger restrictions, and operating a motor vehicle between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. The other received the same charges, minus the reckless endangerment.
A lawyer interviewed by Yahoo! said it's not likely for the teens to be prosecuted. He compared the case to someone watching a crime being committed: "If someone is holding a gun and is about to shoot it, and you don't pull it out of their hand, you cannot be held accountable."
