This year we've noticed a trend that we can't help but think is absurd: velvet car wraps. We understand the thinking. An expensive car + an expensive fabric = awesome car. Except that's not how we see it. In reality, the pairing just looks gaudy and extremely stupid. And don't even get us started on the Ferrari F430 wrapped in leather.
But if this is the direction people are going with their cars, they might as well go all the way stupid. There are plenty of fabrics out there that would look even more ridiculous on a car. Brace yourself for the 10 Fabrics We'll Probably See Cars Wrapped In Next.

Flannel
How has a flannel Prius not been made for a Portlandia sketch? Fred and Carrie, we have more ideas where that came from.
Nylon
This synthetic material isn't a stranger to cars. Many covers are made of nylon, but they aren't driving-ready. All you need to do is cut out some window holes to change that.
Terrycloth
Because who wouldn't want their whip to smell like a damp towel on the reg?
Satin
Like nylon, satin is also used to protect cars when stored, although it's not quite as silky smooth as the fabric you'll find on sheets.
Fleece
Chevrolet put out a North Face Avalanche edition back in 2002, and somehow, it wasn't covered in fleece. Hey, there's always the next time around, right?
Egyptian Cotton
This makes perfect since for rappers. They love sitting on top of six-figure cars (despite our pleas to save the integrity of such beautiful rides), so they might as well do it with the softness of Egyptian cotton.
Corduroy
We've already seen velvet on cars, so corduroy, which is basically a wavy form of velvet, is the next logical step.
Cashmere
One of my buddies in high school was arrested for stealing a sweater at the mall. His reasoning: "Dog, it's cashmere." That should be your response when anyone questions your whip.
Silk
Easily the most impracticle fabric that could wrap a car, silk is for the truly ostentatious. It doesn't get along with sunlight or water, so re-wraps would be a must. And more re-wraps. And more re-wraps.
Denim
There are so many different types of denim that anyone could get the perfect match for their ride. Your pops could cover his truck in Brett Favre dad jeans, while you go for some raw japanese denim. Just don't be mad when you take it off (why would you even do that?) and your real paint is stained/tinted blue.
