Here's some insane footage from a Division II basketball game that went down in Florida, between Nova Southeastern and Saint Leo, this past Saturday. It comes via a clip fromPost-Gazette writer Mike White, and though there might eventually be a backstory that attempts to provide some context here, it's not a clip that needs a whole lot of setup.

In it, you can see Isaiah Hill (of Saint Leo's) floor Nick Smith (of Nova Southeastern) with a full-on sucker punch/elbow. Perhaps the craziest part of the video is that there doesn't appear to be any foul called even though there are a pair of refs in the frame, including one that's about three feet away. We know it's D-II, but yeesh:

It’s NCAA Div. 2 game in Florida. But I bring it up because it’s surreal & former WPIAL standout Nick Smith is on the end of one of the most horrific cheap shots you’ll ever see. Also surreal official standing right next to it & nothing happens to this Saint Leo’s U. player. pic.twitter.com/Tv1ygleVOO

It has since been announced that Hill, who's a senior, has been suspended for his conduct through at least the calendar year.

"Isaiah's conduct on the court is not an accurate representation of Saint Leo's core values. Saint Leo University holds its students to high standards of moral and ethical conduct as a reflection of Benedictine values," said the school's Vice President and Director of Athletics, Fran Reidy. "Upon review of Isaiah's actions this past Saturday, he will not represent Saint Leo University in competition for the remainder of 2019."
