Headlining a class that included Big Boss Man, The Godfather, Jacqueline, the Fabulous Freebirds, Stan Hansen and even Snoop Dogg, 31-year pro wrestling veteran Sting "officially" called it quits last night as he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The long-time face of WCW gave a passionate speech and exited the stage by grabbing a baseball bat, popping on some shades, and telling the crowd "I just want you to know this isn’t goodbye. It’s just see you later," as they thanked him in unison.
Sting, whose real name is Steve Borden, became just the second active wrestler to be given the honor of Hall of Fame enshrinement (the other being his former rival, and inductor, Ric Flair).
Though he appeared to be waffling about it until the end, Borden decided to call it quits after sustaining a serious neck injury this past year at WWE Night of Champions.
