In a short series, odds are you don't want to face a rotation with both Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke. But that's exactly what the Mets did in their division series, and they beat each (Kershaw in game one, and Greinke tonight) to advance to their first National League Championship Series in nine years. In tonight's deciding game five, New York won by the slimmest of margins, 3-2, with the deciding run being scored (and driven in) by second baseman Daniel Murphy in the top of the sixth:
Now they will head back to their coast where they'll take on the Chicago Cubs Saturday night in the first of seven for the pennant.
