Earlier we told you that Carmelo Anthony was interested in bringing Pau Gasolto MSG. And since it looks like absolutely nothing else is going on, now we'll inform you that the Lakers are trying to pull a reverse, and yank 'Melo 3,000 miles southwest to LA instead. The contract offer is reportedly for 4-years/$97 million which should excite Lakers fans who desperately hope that the team "sucks less" next season.

Update: Not to be outdone, the Knicks too appear willing to give the coveted free agent a max offer of their own.
