Boosted Boards is a company producing what is being called the "world's lightest electric vehicle," a 12-pound, electric longboard sporting 2.6 horsepower for steep uphill climbs. Though it boasts six miles between battery charges and a top speed of 20 mph, the thumb-controlled Boosted Board will still work like a regular skateboard, featuring a cool regenerative charging braking system. The manufacturer expects it to be used as a secondary means of transit between public transportation and walking and you can reserve one, due to ship next June, on KickStarter now for $1,199.
