The Raptors played awful today against the Pacers, who lost 100-83 in Indianapolis in Game 4 of the series. Now that it's the playoffs, defense wins game. And when you slip too many times with too much trouble handling your assignment against the other squad's point guard, it's going to be a long game that will likely garner your team an L.
During the second quarter of the game, Pacers guard Ty Lawson made Raptors guard Corey Joseph look like he slapped the floor like he was playing for Duke. Except the floor-slap was not out of motivation, but rather Joseph's ankle— or two— breaking from Lawson's crossover. Joseph tried to stop his momentum as Lawson suddenly switch directions off his behind-the-back crossover move, which thereafter allowed Lawson to drive through the lane and drop a dime for center Ian Mahinmi's two-handed dunk that finished the play.
Here's the clip of the play in slo-mo at a different angle to laugh and cringe at.
