Despite the Lakers' 3-5 season start, LaVar Ball is confident the franchise can secure the 2018-19 NBA title—that is, if the team accepts his guidance.

The outspoken basketball dad shared his thoughts on Los Angeles' lackluster performance, insisting he could easily improve the team's play if he landed a coaching position.

"If you have Lonzo [Ball, his oldest son] and you have the best player in the world which is LeBron James, how do you not win a championship? My prediction for this season is the championship," LaVar recently told Sky Sports. "If they need help to shoot I'll coach them. I can coach them with my eyes closed. There's only one way to beat the Golden State Warriors is to go faster than them. If you have length and speed you can beat them."

LaVar went on to offer the current coaching staff some advice, specifically criticizing their player rotation.

"It started off a little ragged," he said. "That's because they don't understand if you have a guy that's your second pick and you have the best player in the world, then don't take him out of the game, leave him in the game and rotate the three other guys around him—that's how you get victories if you want to win. But if you want to try and figure out things, try different combinations and taking guys in and out, then no."

LaVar's comments arrive amid rumors that Luke Walton coaching job is in jeopardy. As previously reported, Magic Johnson reportedly berated the coach for the team's recent performance, leading many to believe Walton's time with the Lakers may soon be up.
