Do you have Robert Griffin III on your fantasy football team? If so, there's a pretty good chance that your team isn't all that good right now. But assuming you made the playoffs in your league, you need to go and pick up Kirk Cousins now. Like, right now.

Although nothing has been confirmed by Redskins coaches just yet, a high-ranking Redskins team official just told ESPN that Kirk Cousins will start on Sunday against the Falcons instead ofRGIII. The move isn't a total surprise, considering some comments that Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan made at a press conference earlier this week. But it's a little bit strange to see Shanahan doing what's perceived to be best for the 'Skins right now—let's face it, RGIII just hasn't been himself this year and should probably start looking ahead to next season—despite the fact that Shanahan is likely going to get fired within the next month.

At any rate, Cousins will get the start on Sunday and will presumably take over the starting quarterback position for the rest of the season. So if you want to have any chance of winning your fantasy football league, drop RGIII now and pick up Cousins.

UPDATE:

Robert Griffin III won't just be benched on Sunday. He'll also be inactive, according to reports.

UPDATE 2:

RGIII is likely going to be deactivated for the remainder of the NFL season.
