When Roger Goodell announced that he was upholding the four-game suspension that the NFL handed to Tom Brady in the spring because of his role in Deflategate, many people were surprised. They believed that, after reviewing the evidence against Brady, Goodell would reduce the suspension or possibly even eliminate it altogether. So when he kept it at four games, those people were upset.

Mark Cuban was kind of upset, too, but it wasn't because he thought Brady deserved to get off with a lesser punishment. Rather, the Mavericks owner thought that Brady deserved to have his suspension "extended" as a result of his attempt to destroy his cell phone, which was a key piece of evidence in the NFL's investigation. He took to his CyberDust app yesterday to explain:

As you can see, Cuban thinks that Brady "trying to make a fool out of the commissioner of the NFL" warranted a stiffer penalty. He also thinks that, if an NBA player had done something similar, he would have ended up with a much longer suspension comparatively.

"I truly think the suspension would have been more than 25pct of the season," Cuban wrote. "So while Pats fans I'm sure will disagree. I think the punishment of 4 games for trying to destroy evidence is actually lite."

At this point, we're all tired of the Deflategate stuff. But do you think Cuban has a point?
