Yesterday, MediaTakeout published a story claiming that LeBron James and Paul Pierce had been involved in a fist fight following Game 4 of the Heat/Nets playoff series. We didn't believe it for a second and it got absolutely no traction amongst sports fans. But apparently, someone did decide to ask Pierce about the alleged fight earlier today. And his response was sort of surprising.

"No comment," he said.

No comment? Hmmm…Maybe there was something to the fight rumor after all.

Or not. Pierce's "no comment" did give a little bit of life to the rumor. But a short time ago, CNN reporter Rachel Nichols sat down with LeBron for an interview and asked him about the story. And according to him, a fight did not take place between the two superstars:

So there you have it, folks. The Internet lied to you again. Shocking, right?
