Is Donald Trumptrying to make everybody hate him or…?

Trump has already made tons of headlines this week for making negative comments about Mexican people recently. But now, he's making even more of them thanks to some comments that he made to Fortune back in February that have just come to light. During a discussion about the game of golf, Trump said that he doesn't like the idea of trying to make the sport more accessible to young people. Rather, he believes that golf "should be an aspirational game" played only by those who can afford to do it.

"I think I'm in the minority," he told Fortune, "but I feel differently about golf. I feel golf should be an aspirational game, something people aspire to. People should come to golf, golf shouldn't come to them."

After referring to golf as "the sport of business," Trump also talked about how the game could benefit from taking a more "elitist" stance.

"It may be elitist, and perhaps that's what golf needs," he said. "Let golf be elitist. When I say 'aspire,' that's a positive word. Let people work hard and aspire to some day be able to play golf. To afford to play it. They're trying to teach golf to people who will never be able to really play it. They're trying too hard. Because of the expense of playing, and the land needed, golf is never going to be basketball, where all you need is a court."

So there you go. If you're not rich—and not, like, 65—no golf for you!
