College Hockey Goalie Ejected From Game for Chugging a Beer on the Ice

Wait, that isn't allowed?

Apparently, chugging a beer in the middle of a college hockey game isn't allowed. Who knew?!

Virginia goalie Jake Anderson discovered that the hard way this past weekend. With his team leading VCU 7-0, a UVA fan threw him a beer on the ice just before the start of the third period. Anderson then proceeded to crack the beer open and chug it. And as a result of him doing it, he received a five-minute major penalty and was ejected from the game.

It really didn't matter, because as we mentioned, UVA was winning 7-0 when he went out and ended up winning 10-1. So Anderson's ejection really just helped him get an early start on his team's post-game celebration.
