Ty Law Thinks the Jets Aren't Worthy of Playing Against Darrelle Revis (Video)

Jets are already getting ethered.

Darrelle Revis is probably understandably excited to get the season under way more than a lot of other players after ending his season prematurely thanks to a torn ACL. That doesn't mean he should demean himself by playing in the season opener against the Jets, right?

Well, that's what Ty Law—a great cornerback who played for the Jets and won three Super Bowl rings with the Patriots—said in an interview with Sports Illustrated. And yes, it's as bad of an ethering as it sounded.

He is absolutely the best and wants to play the best, and I think you’re going to get the best out of him if he respects the other guy. But I don’t think he respects anybody on the Jets and then -- you never know -- what are they even playing for? I mean, they’re the type of team that might wanna get [him] hurt or try to take him out or something like that. So, I wouldn’t even play him because they’re not worthy.

Law didn't just say the Jets aren't worthy of facing the Buccaneers; the whole team isn't good enough to face one player. A very good player, yes, but a full squad isn't worthy? Damn, but hopefully he isn't right about the Jets trying to purposely take Revis out. They surely can't be that mad about Revis exposing their secrets, right?
