During a recent interview with ESPN, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey did not respond well when asked about reflecting on her losses against Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm. When asked about how she feels about it, she answered, "I'd rather not talk about that right now." Leaving a long pause before she gave her answer, she was clearly deeply affected by the question.

"I feel like the only thing that helped me... Winning the Olympics was the only thing I cared about as a kid, I devoted my whole life to it," she continued. "I got to the finals of the world championships and I lost, and I went to two Olympics and I lost. It's still hard to, like, realize your childhood dreams not coming true. I think the only thing that really helped was finding something else to devote myself to and be successful at. I think I was only able to get past the Olympics when I started doing MMA and... I do believe there is a parallel there."

Choking up, she makes it obvious just how much her losses at the Olympics had an impact on her.

During the chat, she also took a moment to address whether she's actually retired from MMA for good or not. "That's what everybody else seems to say," she responded when asked. "I mean, I never retired from judo. So, if that's what you guys wanna think. All I know is that I really wanna devote 100 percent of my time to wrestling right now, and whatever people wanna call that they can call it."
