Oops. Draymond Green called out Kevin Garnett after he fell for a fake quote attributed to the retired 15-time NBA All-Star. And the person who pointed out Draymond's error? KG himself.

The tweet, shared by a Twitter Blue-subscribed account posing as the popular aggregator @TheNBACentral, included a quote about the Jordan Poole altercation that was falsely attributed to Garnett. "Draymond punching [Jordan Poole] is like a senior punching a freshman who's half his size and than walks around talking himself up as if he's like that," read the fake quote. "Come try me Dray."

Green, who seemingly didn't catch the suspicious nature of the quote, responded in a since-deleted tweet. "I tried you when I was a rookie KG, and you started talking to yourself like I wasn't talking to you," he wrote in a tweet that directly mentioned Garnett's Twitter handle. "What's that like? The freshman picking on a senior citizen that's double his size?"

"That's a fake tweet. 'NBA Centel,'" Garnett then pointed out. "[Elon Musk] see wtf is happening ... Fix It.

Kevin Durant even chimed in on the fake quote and made it clear he thought it was out of line. "Nah yo, u gotta chill," Durant wrote. "Do something about this @god."

This isn't the first time Twitter Blue subscribers have caused disruption in the NBA world. Shortly after Musk's company launched the paid-for verification feature last year, a verified account pretended to be LeBron James and tricked fans into thinking he was requesting a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Meanwhile, Green took hear from Jordan Poole's father Anthony Poole over the altercation between the two players last year. "I'm stand on this that's is some bs," the elder Poole tweeted recently. "JP was his guy and he avoid me all last yr. He is a soft [ass] bitch and I'm standing on this and he didn't apologize to me and my wife. So he lame and me and him can meet anytime he want."

In response, Green seemed to be dismissive of Poole's comments. "That’s so cute… it’s impossible to avoid you an arena for a year champ," he wrote. "I got get my family from that family room every game. And stop using those words, they usually don’t go over well amongst men."
