In MotoGP, precision is key, and swerving to miss something could end in a nasty accident. During the Q2 for the Phillip Island 2013 race, Jorge Lorenzo had a fraction of a second after turning a corner to see these seagulls, but there was nothing he could do to avoid them. One was lucky enough to get out of the way, but the other got sucked into the Lorenzo's intake. Lucky for us, super slow-mo is a thing. Sorry, PETA:
