Martellus Bennett Suspended Indefinitely After Body Slamming a Teammate During Practice
Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett lost his cool and body slammed a teammate during practice. Now he's suspended indefinitely.

NFL training camps take place in the heat and burning summer sun, so it’s only natural that players get into scuffles over certain hits and tackles on the “practice” field. Yesterday, Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett took exception to a hit made by rookie cornerback Kyle Fuller, and showed his displeasure by body slamming Fuller in front of everyone in attendance. Head coach Marc Trestman called an end to practice following the incident, and according to the Chicago Tribune, Bears GM Phil Emery has today announced an indefinite suspension and fine for Bennett for conduct detrimental to the team. Wow. The fine will reportedly be kept in house, and while the suspension is for “an undetermined length of time,” according to Emery, we can’t see the Bears planning to be without their starting tight end for any significant period. Check out Bennett channeling his inner Bruce Banner below. Think he’ll be a Bear come Week one?
