Premiere: SAINt JHN Links Up With Lil Baby in "Trap" Video

SAINt JHN's latest single featuring Lil Baby receives the visual treatment.

Brooklyn's own SAINt JHN has built on the success of his 2018 project Collection One through touring and sprinkling new music here and there, with his latest release, "Trap" featuring Lil Baby, being one of his biggest.

The accompanying video finds the two artists scheming late at night, with a biker gang in full effect. It's a fitting visual to match F a l l e n's dark production, as Lil Baby serves up his own experiences in the streets of Atlanta. ("Runnin' down on 'em, don't trip/Make sure your whole clip fit/Know it was hard livin', tryna survive this bullshit").

Earlier this year, it was announced that Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder, Kareem "Biggs" Burke, had started up his own management company called Circle of Success and brought SAINt JHN on as his first signee.

Biggs recalled the first time he heard the artist. "The night [Roc Nation co-founder Tyran Smith], played a preview of SAINt JHN's new abum, I drove home listening to Collection One and had an immediate sonic connection to his music." He added, "[SAINt JHN] will be the next biggest artist and brand in the world."

The video for "Trap" arrives on the 23rd anniversary of JAY-Z's Reasonable Doubt, which Biggs co-executive produced. The timing wasn't by chance. "It’s definitely no coincidence, feels like the universe put me in a place, exactly where I need to be," Biggs told Complex. "23 years ago I dropped Reasonable Doubt and SAINt JHN 'Trap' video featuring Lil Baby comes out the same day. Now a new chapter in my life begins with SAINt JHN. And then Lil Baby just won Best New Artist at the BET Awards, WOW Congrats!"
