Steph Curry Loses Skills Challenge During Under Armour Asia Tour

Curry is on his Asian Tour to promote the Curry 5 for Under Armour. It's usually filled with silly competitions against fans, so the Warriors' MVP wasn't prepared when a professional Filipino player took him on in a skills competition.

What a summer StephΒ CurryΒ has had. In June, theΒ Warriors captured their third title in four years, and the next month their loaded roster had aΒ coup of sorts when they landed DeMarcus CousinsΒ in free agency. But perhaps even bigger than those on-court accomplishments was the birth of his son, Canon W. Jack Curry in July.Β Β

These days, Curry is in the midst ofΒ his Asia Tour for Under Armour, and that means talking about the Curry 5 duringΒ overseas interviews and exhibitions.

His latest stop was in the Philippines, and despite the hectic schedule, he still had time to get in his reps from deep:

After the 3-on-3 exhibition in Manila,Β Curry competedΒ in a skills competition against professional Filipino player, Peter June Simon. It looks to beΒ the same guidelines as the one the NBA does over All-Star Weekend, and Steph'sΒ competition was more than up to the task.

Maybe the two-time MVPΒ should have been a little more aware of Simon's talent.

The NBA tips off in less than 40 days, but it can't get here soon enough.
