Tyrod Taylor recently transferred from Buffalo Bills to the Cleveland Browns for his upcoming eighth season, but before the season officially begins, there's been a little confusion regarding his name. Up until this point, pretty much everyone thought his first name was pronounced 'Ty-Rod,' but according to his teammate Joel Bitonio, it's actually pronounced Tuh-Rod.

As Deadspin points out, this all started when in the first episode of Hard Knocks, Cleveland Browns' third-string quarterback Brogan Roback pronounces Taylor's name as "Tuh-Rod." At first, people assumed it was a mistake, but shortly after more people began hearing the said pronunciation. NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala was told by Bitonio, however, that Roback was correct.

Apparently, it all stemmed from his days back in Virginia Tech and ever since, Taylor has been too polite to correct anyone.

The Cleveland Browns have even so far as to show how the name is to be pronounced.

ESPN's Mina Kimes, however, said that she's been told by both Taylor's agent and father that it's "Ty-Rod."

Wait, what? Okay, then. #TyrodGate continues.
