Stephen Curry Says Warriors Will Lose Before the Panthers Do "But Not Until February, Hopefully"

When Stephen Curry isn't busy destroying defenses while leading the Golden State Warriors to a streak of victories that seemingly has no end in sight, he roots for the NFL's Carolina Panthers, who play in his hometown city of Charlotte.

The Panthers are undefeated at 11-0, just like the Warriors, who have won their first 19 games of the season. Curry was asked which team will lose a game first, and he said his Warriors would -- but hopefully not for a while.

"My answer to that is us, but not until February, hopefully," Curry said. "So that means that the Panthers get their Super Bowl win, and we make it through that."

When asked a little bit more seriously how realistic his prediction was, Curry admittedly wasn't so sure.

"I mean, who knows," he said. "Nobody thought we could start 19-0, so why not keep it going? There's a lot of great talent in this league and we're obviously probably not going to go 82-0, but you want to approach each game that way and see what happens."

As Curry mentioned, who knows what's actually possible where either team is concerned? No matter how things turn out, it's a pretty great time to be a fan of (or someone who plays for) either of these two squads.
