Earlier today, Real Madrid barely edged out Cordoba, 2-1, but there was plenty of drama before the final whistle. With the match tied at one, Cristiano Ronaldo attempted to put Los Blancos back on top. In the 82nd minute, Cristiano was fighting off two defenders for a ball in the box when he just had enough, slapping an opposing player in the face.

Ronaldo was given a red card for fighting and ejected from the match. Even with one man down, Real Madrid was able to steal a victory, thanks to a Gareth Bale penalty goal in the 89th minute.

After the game, Cristiano sent out a tweet, saying, "I apologize to everyone and especially Edimar for my reflex action in today's game."
