Earlier today, a police report was released in Chicago indicating that two Bears fans had been stabbed by a Cowboys fan outside of Soldier Field last night following the Cowboys/Bears Thursday Night Football game. And while the report was partially true—the Bears fans were both cut and stabbed a handful of times and taken to the hospital after an incident last night—one of the men just did an interview with the Chicago Tribune and revealed that he wasn't injured at the hands of a Cowboys fan.

Instead, the man—who asked not to be identified—told the Chicago Tribune that him and his friend were actually attacked by Bears fans who didn't like something that he said. He claims that he said something along the lines of "The Packers are awesome this year, why can't I be a Packers fan?" and that a fellow Bears fan heard what he said and got angry.

"I went to go shake hands but as soon as I did, his buddy came up and threw beer at my head," the man said. "Beer got in my eyes and blinded me. Then everything went downhill. I was trying to defend myself and run away. I was running away, I remember."

The man's friend got the worst of the attack.

"They piled on him and I just ran around in circles," said the man, who estimated that his friend got "shanked" eight times. "I couldn't see. Three of his buddies attacked my one buddy…I think they had to be Bears fans."

The men who attacked the Bears fans left the scene of the crime after the incident and have not been captured yet. But the man said that he and his buddy are fine and that he was "laughing the whole time I was in the ambulance and in the hospital."

Sounds like quite a scene. Do you believe that an innocent comment about the Packers led to all of this?
