Last night, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Golden State Warriors 136-115, despite a 44 point effort from Bryant which came via 34 shots.
Yes, 34 shots. Nearly as many as the rest of Los Angeles' starting line-up, which accounted for 35 shots and just 27 points.
But, according to Bryant, the hero ball was a necessary reaction to the beatdown the Warriors were delivering.
Serena Winters of Lakers Nation corroborated Holmes' account in her write-up of the game, also providing quotes from Jeremy Lin, who felt that "communication, trust, and effort" are the biggest problems on the team right now.

Kobe, however, disagreed that trust was an issue for the purple and gold. If he wants anyone to believe that, maybe he shouldn't characterize his teammates as criminally bad? Just a suggestion.
