Mo'ne Davis, who earned a place on the cover of Sports Illustrated during her inspiring performance in the Little League World Series, is the subject of a new mini-doc by Spike Lee. The film "Throw Like a Girl" (embedded below), chronicles Davis' baseball roots and provides a glimpse into what life is like for the 13-year-old after her breakneck rise to international fame over the summer.
The film is complemented by a minute-long Chevy ad that's been running during the World Series. And, speaking of The Fall Classic, Davis will make yet another televised appearance on the mound when she throws out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Saturday night's Game 4 in San Francisco.
