Barcelona's Luis Suarez has admitted that he's been seeing a therapist in the hope it can stop his urge to bite opponents on the football pitch.

In an interview with The Guardian, the Uruguayan striker has revealed that he realised changes needed to be made after TV replays showed him biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at last summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Speaking to The Guardian's Simon Hattenstone, Suarez said:

"I believe I am on the right path now, dealing with the people who can help me, the right kind of people."

"Everyone has different ways of defending themselves. In my case, the pressure and tension came out in that way. There are other players who react by breaking someone’s leg, or smashing someone’s nose across their face. What happened with Chiellini is seen as worse."

There's even a Luis Suarez biting compilation.

Suarez has been banned from playing competitive football for four months since the bite on Chiellini and is due to make his first appearance for Barcelona in tomorrow evening's El Clasico with Real Madrid.
