Contrary to popular belief, Floyd Mayweather doesn't only show up at sporting events when there's something really meaningful on the line. Sure, he's known to sit courtside during the NBA Playoffs. But last night, he proved just how much he loves the game of basketball by showing up at the Suns/Lakers preseason game at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. And at the end of the contest, he actually become a part of the storyline surrounding the game.

With less than 10 seconds remaining in regulation and the Suns trailing by two points, Lakers forward Wesley Johnson missed two free throws to give Phoenix a chance to tie or even win the game. And they took advantage of it. Suns guard Gerald Green missed a three-pointer that would have won it, but his teammate Isaiah Thomas rebounded the ball, threw up a shot at the buzzer, and sunk it to send the game to overtime. And after he did, he stared down Mayweather, who was sitting right behind him when he hit the shot.

Mayweather seemed to get a kick out of it:

1.

And the Suns ended up winning the game 114-108 in OT.

Who knew the NBA preseason could be so much fun?!
