The annual 'Price of Football' survey has been unveiled by the BBC and it pretty much confirms what we already knew: that British football fans are getting a raw deal when it comes to the cost of supporting their club.

The results from the investigation show that the average price of the cheapest tickets across English football has risen at almost twice the rate of the cost of living since 2011 and that the average price of the cheapest season tickets at Premier League clubs has risen by 8.7%.

Meanwhile, fans in the continent are paying prices as low as £57-per-year to watch a European giant at home for an entire season.

Here are 10 Things We Learned from This Year's 'Price of Football' Survey.

1. You can watch a game at Barcelona or Real Madrid for the same price as a match at Conference side Alfreton Town

2. The cheapest season ticket in European football can be found at Sporting Lisbon for just £57.73

5. The cheapest season ticket in England's top four divisons comes from Charlton Athletic at £150…but that's still £41 more than Bayern Munich
